"I was very lucky to have heard about these cloths, by word of mouth, fifteen years ago and my original saddle cloth is still being used in competition!  I have a number of horses in work at any one time and these cloths are simply the best.  I have Arabian show horses and endurance mounts - the saddle cloths are superb for showing and I don't ride distance in any other cloth.  They really do protect their backs. Al Bardia Isah - Australian Champion Purebred Arabian Mare Under Saddle, won her title in TACKTILITY™.”
Justina (Hattie) Harnett - Proprietor of Ryton Arabian Stud, Blayney

"I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to train and compete using TACKTILITY™ saddle cloths for several years. Now that they are available to the public, I am very happy to recommend them to every rider. These saddle cloths have protected my horses and have also been a very big part of our successful presentation ‘look ’. Recently, at the Australian National Arabian Championships, I competed on the outdoor arena in heavy rain. My TACKTILITY™ premier really was incredible. Vanity stayed dry, warm and comfortable beneath the saddle cloth while the top layer of fleece absorbed the rain but stayed dry to the touch! It was hung over a railing overnight and was in perfect condition to be used again on the following days. While the other competitors squelched in wet, uncomfortable gear, it was business as usual for us!”
Erin McDonall - Rider

From a Therapeutic Viewpoint - "As an Equine Myofunctional Therapist I have always been interested in saddle fit and ways to ensure that horses’ backs are protected from heat and friction. Years ago, as an endurance rider I discovered that pure wool saddle cloths were the very best for this purpose and I still believe this to be so.

Even though there have been many new materials offered in the market place for saddle cloths I have yet to find one that I felt came close to the qualities offered by wool and I still recommend wool to the clients I see in my equine massage therapy and saddle fit work. I firmly believe that they are the best buffer to put between the saddle and the horse.

I was asked to trial the TACKTILITY™ wool saddle cloth and was pleasantly surprised by its superior quality. I was also impressed that it has been made from the same high quality fleece that is used to reduce sweating and rashes in hospital patients. I think its ability to absorb moisture and provide a 'micro climate' is just as vital for the equine back. “

"I love the fact that these pads are a natural fleece product. I was looking for a good, old fashioned product that worked for my horse's back muscles; they keep my mare's back warm in winter and cool in summer. The pad is just the right thickness for horses that get sore in the back. We wash them up and use them as our show cloths and they wear well."
Donna Flynn - Rider

"The rugs fit well and mould to the horses'  bodies and are very lightweight.  I have no hesitation in recommending that everyone use these products."
Jackie Long - Proprietor of Ivery Park Stud and leading competitor ASHA

"I've used neoprene backed riding pads in Reining for years, and am both relieved and grateful that BES has developed a pad that helps my horse's back.  I have ridden with the TACKTILITY™ Western pad daily, since its inception, and now have the same pad in use on our newest 2 year old Reining prospect I am training.  It just doesn't get any better."

"Thank you for designing  the quarter sheet!  After a late afternoon jumping session away from home yesterday I knew I'd be riding home in the dark.  Not only did the reflective tape light us up like a Christmas tree, making me feel safe in the traffic,  I was amazed at how freely he moves under it. He actually works out better when we use it.  But I really loved the fact that it was getting very nippy, yet his back and rump muscles were not getting cold after a jumping work out. We arrived home with a bit of sweat under the girth AND NOWHERE ELSE. Yet he was nice and warm (not hot) and I was able to throw his wool canvas straight on him without having to cool him down or groom him dry. So his hard worked muscles were able to cool down slowly with the walk home, and didn’t have to be exposed to the night air, then go from the cold of the air to the warmth of the heavy rug. Instead his temperature was well regulated and this morning there were no signs that he had done a heavy workout the night before. Excellent!!  Thank you so much."
